Systems Engineering, MS

Systems engineering (SE) is an interdisciplinary field of engineering that focuses on how to design and manage complex engineering systems over their life cycles. The degree program has three areas of focus: autonomous systems, maritime systems, and cybersecurity systems.

The purpose of the MSSE program is to provide an opportunity for students to pursue an advanced degree in an interdisciplinary area of broad relevance
to the private sector and the Department of Defense (DoD). This new program will target skills required in the national workforce for growing areas of research and development in the technology driven global economy, and in the DoD and its industrial base to address capability gaps forecast in the engineering of systems related to Autonomy, Marine Systems, and Cyber Security. The MSSE program is expected to facilitate innovation and economic development in the Florida panhandle area.

The curriculum consists of thirty three (33) credit hours.
