OTH 5141 Groups in Occupational Therapy (2) THE FOCUS OF THIS COURSE IS ON THE STUDY OF GROUP DYNAMICS, GROUP STRUCTURE, OCCUPATION, COMMUNICATION AND THE ROLES THAT FACILITATE OR HINDER EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION SKILLS WITHIN THE GROUP PROCESS USED AS A THERAPEUTIC MODALITY. STUDENTS ARE PROVIDED WITH TOOLS THAT FACILITATE GROUP LEADERSHIP SKILLS. STUDENTS WILL DESIGN GROUP EXPERIENCES WITHIN A VARIETY OF FRAMES OF REFERENCES, AND ADAPT GROUP INTERVENTIONS TO BE PROVIDED TO A BROAD RANGE OF CONSUMERS WITHIN TRADITIONAL AND EMERGING PRACTICE AREAS
