Pre-Teacher Education Courses

*Background check with the Leon County school district is required. The cost is approximately $100.00.
Professional Education Core Courses
The professional core consists of twenty-seven (27) semester hours of coursework (excluding student teaching 12 semester hours) which meet the general professional education requirements for initial teacher certification in the state of Florida. Specific programs may have additional requirements. The generalized professional core is as follows:
