2024-2025 Undergraduate Catalog

The Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU) General Catalog (hereby referred to as the “Catalog”) is the official source of information regarding the University’s academic programs and courses.  The Catalog serves as a guide, in conjunction with regular academic advising, in planning a course of study and in meeting requirements for graduation. The Catalog is published annually after Summer commencement for the upcoming academic year and is effective through the 13-week Summer C term of the following year.  Course offerings and academic requirements at FAMU are continually under examination and revision.  However, except for non-substantial corrections, the Catalog is updated only once per year.

The FAMU Electonic Catalog includes general information about the University and information on degree requirements, academics programs, admission and campus life.  The provisions of the Catalog do not constitute a contract, expressed or implied, between any applicant, student, employee, or member of the University. The University and its Board of Trustees reserve the right to withdraw courses at any time, to change fees, calendars, curricula, graduation procedures, and any other requirements affecting students. Changes will become effective policies as duly appropriate and will apply both to prospective students and to those already enrolled. While every effort is made to assure accurate and up-to-date information, the University does not assume any responsibility for any misrepresentation made through error in the preparation of this or any other of its catalogs or through failure to give notice of changes in its requirements, policies, tuition and fees, course offerings, and other matters affecting students or applicants.

The FAMU General Catalog is produced by the Office of Registrar in conjunction with the Division of Academic Affairs. For questions or comments regarding the FAMU General Catalog, please email us at catalogsupport@famu.edu.
