THIS COURSE IS DESIGNED TO PROVIDE THE STUDENT WILL ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE OF THE COMMON DISEASES AFFECTING LIVESTOCK AND COMPANION ANIMALS. STUDENTS WILL LEARN THE BASICS OF RECOGNIZING DISEASES. CLINICAL SIGNS, DIAGNOSTIC TESTS AND APPROPRIATE CLIENT EDUCATION WILL BE HIGHLIGHTED. THIS LABORATORY WILL ALLOW STUDENTS TO LEARN CONCEPTS TAUGHT IN LECTURE IN A HANDS-ON CLINICAL SETTING. THIS WILL INCLUDE HANDS ACTIVITIES SUCH AS COMMON HANDLING TECHNIQUES, NUTRITION, BIOSECURITY ISSUES, PARASITE INSPECTIONS, NECROPSY, TOXIC PLANT IDENTIFICATION.
