NGR 6201L Primary Care For Adults Across The Life Span Practicum I (3) THIS COURSE IS A CLINICAL COURSE WITH EMPHASIZES ON ASSESSMENT, DIAGNOSIS AND MANAGEMENT OF COMMON ACUTE AND CHRONIC HEALTH PROBLEMS OF ADULTS ACROSS THE LIFESPAN THROUGH DIRECT CLINICAL PRACTICE. EMPHASIS IS PLACED ON INTEGRATING THE DIDACTIC PHARMACOTHERAPEUTICS, PSYCHOPATHOLOGY AND PATHOPHYSIOLOGY CONCEPTS WITH EVIDENCE-BASED APRN CLINICAL PRACTICE IN A VARIETY OF ADULT PRIMARY CARE SETTING. THE COURSE STRESSES THE DIAGNOSTIC AND THERAPEUTIC ROLE OF THE NURSE PRACTITIONER AS A MEMBER OF THE INTERDISCIPLINARY HEALTH CARE TEAM.
