NUR 3431L Care of Women and the Childbearing Family: Clinical (3) THIS CLINICAL COURSE PROVIDES STUDENTS WITH THE OPPORTUNITY TO CARE FOR WOMEN AND CHILDREN FROM BIRTH THROUGHOUT THE LIFESPAN, AND NURSING CARE THAT MEETS THE UNIQUE PHYSICAL, BEHAVIORAL AND DEVELOPMENTAL NEEDS OF WELL AND ILL INFANTS, CHILDREN, ADOLESCENT, AND THEIR FAMILIES. CLINICAL SETTINGS INCLUDE INPATIENT, AMBULATORY CLINICS, ACUTE CARE, COMMUNITY CENTERS, AND SCHOOL ENVIRONMENTS. CLINICAL EXPERIENCES WILL INCORPORATE CARE OF CHILDBEARING FAMILIES ENCOUNTERED IN ANTEPARTUM, INTRAPARTUM, POSTPARTUM, NEONATAL, AND PEDIATRIC SETTINGS.
