AMH 2091 INTRODUCTION TO AFRICAN AMERICAN HISTORY Credit hours: 3 This course provides an overview of African American history from the end of the Civil War to the present. Students will explore key events, movements, and figures that have shaped the African American experience in the United States. Topics include Reconstruction, the Great Migration, the Harlem Renaissance, the Civil Rights Movement, and contemporary social and political issues. The course emphasizes the contributions of African Americans to American society and the ongoing struggle for equality and justice.
