PHA 5917L Clin Sem & Research Mtds Lab-I


This Course Is Intended To Provide Students With Communication And Research Skills Designed To Supplement Clinical Clerkship Training. Weekly Discussions Of Current Topics Interest In Area Of Clinical Pharmacy Will Be Presented By Faculty, Students And Invited Outside Lectures. The Student Will Be Assigned To Present Topic Discussions On Disease State Management. Each Student Will Be Expected To Demonstrate A Critical Evaluation Of Medical Literature Through Journal Reviews And Drug Information Questions. Students Will Work Collaboratively With Assigned Professors Throughout All (3) Semesters To Complete A Research Project And Paper Of Publishable Quality. Emphasis Is Placed On Research Design,proposalwriting ,irb Submission, Problem Solving, Abstract And Manuscript Preparation. Students Will Demonstrate Professional Competency To Sit For The North American Pharmacist Licensure Examination ( Naplex) Exam After Graduation By Successfully Passing One (mock Naplex) Exams Of 75%
