This Course Examines The Domestic And International Law And Politics Of The Caribbean From The Pre-colonial Era Through The Colonization Period And Postcolonial Independence And Post Cold War Eras. The Course Will Introduce Students To: (1) The Historical And Contemporary Socio-political And Legal Development Of Caribbean State Systems, Institutions And Peoples; (2) The Unique Relationship Between Caribbean Nations And The Outside World; (3) The Extent To Which The Caribbean Forms An Integral Part Of The International System, And Contributes To The Progressive Development Of International Law
