POS 4923 Prof Dev & Verb Reas (3) Working, graduate school, law school and entrepreneurship are all important end goals for students upon completion of their Bachelor’s degrees. This course is designed to provide students with holistic preparation for life after their undergraduate careers. Topics covered in this course include: how to create a professional profile, keys to professional development, networking, social media decorum, mental health, workplace decorum and issues of diversity. Students will be expected to work/volunteer/intern at least 3 hours/week in a public affairs organization. These organizations will be selected by students and include state/local/federal government offices or agencies, political campaigns, local museums, nonprofit organizations.
