HSC 4404 Crisis Intervention (3) This course covers the fundamentals of situational and developmental crises, how they occur and how they have managed historically. Students will examine the many types of crisis including developmental and cultural crises, community disaster, military service, sexuality and personal trauma, and will explore intervention techniques used in health and human service settings. Students will be introduced to the ABC model of intervention, with case examples and scripts of dialogues to practice implementing it with specific client population in a given situation.
