Forestry and Natural Resources Conservation 2+2 Program, BS

The 2+2 joint degree program in Forestry and Natural Resource Conservation implemented in 1992 by the Florida A&M University (FAMU) and the University of Florida (UF) operates on a two tier basis.

This program curriculum provides broad training in the humanities, natural sciences and social sciences during the freshman and sophomore years. Approximately 60 hours are devoted to the general and pre-professional education sequence which includes courses in English, mathematics, humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, health and history, as well as some electives.

The program at UF picks up where this program leaves off. Students continue their education in one of several specialties in Forestry and Natural Resource Conservation. During their junior and senior years, students must earn approximately 63 hours, including electives, toward graduation. Graduates of this program are able to obtain professional careers in government, private and academic sectors nationally and internationally.
