Health Care Management, BS


The B.S. degree program is a 120-credit hour course of study designed to be completed in four years. The professional curriculum includes an in-depth study of topics such as the health care system, financial management, organizational behavior and management practice, strategic health planning, health policy, quality management and critical health issues.

Internship Experience-An essential component of the academic experience is a 13-week field practicum. The administrative internship serves as a “bridge” between concepts, theories and practice. It integrates course work with a supervised practicum experience and allows the student to explore an area of special interest. Criminal background check clearance is required for internship placement.

Foreign Language Requirement


Prior to graduation, all students must have documentation showing completion of the foreign language requirement: two (2) years of the same language or American Sign Language taken in high school or eight semester hours at an accredited undergraduate institution.

Long-term Care Administration Concentration


In order to fulfill the requirements of the long-term care administration concentration, a student majoring in health care management must, in addition to completing the general curriculum, complete the following courses with a minimum “C” grade:
